Film Community Training (FCT) is excited for the long-awaited partnership with Women in Film Seattle to bring you a special Grip & Electric workshop for women, trans, and femme individuals! Of course this inclusive event is still open to the general community.
This workshop aims to demystify the grip & electric department, helping you understand the various tools, gain hands-on experience, and appreciate the essential role G&E plays in supporting every department on set. Whether you're aiming for a career in G&E or simply curious about the process and equipment, this event is for you!
If this is your first time attending an FCT event, we want to ensure you know what to expect! Our workshops typically run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a complimentary lunch break around noon provided by our team. Throughout the day, we offer crafty snacks, drinks, coffee, and more to keep you energized. Most of our sessions feature hands-on activities, coupled with tailored presentations and engaging Q&A sessions with our guest experts.
We invite everyone to join us for this inclusive and informative workshop!
Come ready to learn, connect, and have fun with fellow members of the film community! Whether you work in grip or electric, are interested in joining a department, or just want to learn more about the process and gear, we can't wait to see you there!
This is a community event and not affiliated with SEATTLE CREATES.
